Srinagar, Apr 28 (KNO): A Village Defence Guard (VDG) member, who was injured during an encounter with terrorists in Udhampur on Sunday mornin, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that an encounter broke out between terrorists and a joint team of police and Village Defence Guard (VDG) members in Basantgarh area of the district this morning.
He said that during the intial exchange of fire, a VDG member was injured and he was shifted to a hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to injuries.
The official said a massive search operation is still underway to flush out the terrorists—(KNO)
